A physical symptom (ache, pain, dis-ease, illness) shows up in body. A person sees, thinks, and believes they are sick. They make the symptoms be who they are. They become victim of being sick.
They thrive on being sick. They go to doctors to get diagnosed of a physical cause. They just go deeper in their bunny trail of sickness day after day. They feel comfortable because they have a reason to be sick. The sickness becomes them. They like being the victim; it gives them attention and love (?).
Yet others go to doctor after doctor and no one can find anything wrong. The person gets mad, discouraged, depressed because they don’t want to find out who they are without their illness. It might be that they are responsible for it……heaven forbid.
Another aspect is…….the person is afraid others will think they are making the sickness all up. Humans have learned to thrive on ‘sick care’ and being sick. (think of how much money is made and jobs there are because people believe they are ‘sick.’ What would happen to the economy if people didn’t follow ‘Sick Care Consciousness?)
Let’s turn this around for a moment. How about being authentic and preventing all of the above?
What if a person realized that their mind tells the body it is sick in the first place. The body listens. Symptoms manifest. Instead of running to ‘Sick Care’ caretakers; one decides to first look inside at their emotional and mental stressors…. taking a look at their fears, false beliefs about illness. They can then move into the awesome possibility that their bodies will heal themselves if the mind is rehabilitated into ‘Perfect Health Consciousness’.
As a Perfect Health Advocate, I have coached people to heal themselves many, many times. I whole heartedly know it is possible. It is mind that tells us we are sick in many cases. If we clean up doubts inside; fantastic things happen physically. This is jumping on a band wagon of a Perfect Health Revolution…..taking a stand and cleaning up thoughts and Sacred Cows around ‘Sickness and Illness.’
One person at a time could change the world. It all begins inside one person at a time.
People tend to either live as a victim of their past or anxious and fearful of their future. What a stress this is on the body. As Byron Katie shares with people. Reality is 'Accepting What Is.' Eckhart Tolle continuously shares about how powerful we are in the NOW.
Many people have pets who moment after moment share the same message ' Live in the Now.' Here is a Quote From Cesar Millan (Dog Whisperer)............
Life brings challenges, but I don’t look at any obstacle thrown my way as negative. I see it as an opportunity for growth, to learn, and see how perseverant you actually are. I look to the many dogs I’ve met in my life for inspiration during these times. In my work with rescues and dogs that have been neglected, abused, or victims of a man-made or natural disaster, they are a constant reminder to live in the present. With the right pack leadership, they don’t remember what they’ve been through. They don’t hurt. They don’t harbor resentment. They just “are.”
If we could only be like our pets................living in the Now. Just think how happy our bodies could be. Pain is memories in the mind or fear of the future. If we are afraid of what tomorrow will bring, then we have to understand we are the cause of pain in the moment. If we dwell on a past trauma, we cause trauma in the moment.
Wouldn't it be amazing how much pain we could get rid of if we just lived in the moment. Every moment is free of pain until we let our mind get in control with trauma of the past and fear of the future.
For a minute, an hour, a day, a week, a month...................make a commitment and practice living in the moment. Then evaluate what is more peaceful. A long term commitment may even help you return to your Perfect Health. Bodies have time to rehabilitate and recover.
Suck It Up…Men Don’t Cry…Girls Talk To Much…
Day after day we are taught to hide and bury our feelings. Naturally we are emotional as humans; we constantly have feelings.
I believe emotions/feelings tell us what is going on inside of us.
Yet from childhood on……we are taught to be still, keep quiet and strong. Where do all those emotions/feelings go?.
On ‘Losing It With Jillian’ TV show the other night…. it was a perfect example where the father was taught by his father, and then he taught to all of his son’s……..’Just suck it up.’ Not only did they gain tremendous amounts of weight, they got sick, and didn’t feel good enough about themselves – leading to health problems and relationship challenges.
I wish to thank Jillian for helping people realize that unless they begin to ‘believe they are good enough…first for self – then for others; they are going to become sick, depressed, attract dis-ease, experience pain and suffer.
Forgiving self and believing self is good enough no matter what is probably one of the biggest preventive tools one can give self on a path of ‘Perfect Health Revolution’. Stopping to ‘see self as good enough’ is probably the purpose of being human. We don’t have to be our own worst enemy; we can become our best friend and our own healer. We are our own ‘doctor, nurse, healer, parent, partner, etc..’ The outside world is only fluff…a mirror to tell us ‘how healthy or sick’ we are on the inside.
If we suck it up…the emotions and feelings have nowhere to go……..they eat us alive or bring about obesity, diabetes, kidney trouble, depression, suicide, etc.
You can choose to be proud of self no matter what.
Sucking it up makes sick.
Accepting self makes Perfect Health………a grand preventive medicine that no one else can provide for you. Instead of ‘Suck it Up’…how about ‘Like and Love Self’ instead.
