What is preventive medicine?
Authentic Health Association is developing a membership of people who are committed to preventing illness rather than doing something after there is a sickness. This focus is promoted through education, training networks, and team groups. Authentic solutions are shared amongst members and groups.
According to www.wikipedia.org, a definition of preventive medicine is that part of medicine engaged with preventing disease rather than curing it. It can be contrasted not only with curative medicine, but also with public health methods (which work at the level of population health rather than individual health).
AHA is developing into an 'interactive communication' amongst agriculturalists, animal care professionals, human health care providers, and educators in order that research (solutions and sharing of mistakes) regarding nutrition becomes a foundation of physical wellness.
An Authentic Health online site is in development so that a physician, for example, has a resource tool in which they can learn about nutrition from the ground up. The doctor is able to remember and include in his/her diagnosis that 'foods are being grown in mineral deficient soil.' Therefore preventive care regarding mineral deficiencies must become a part of treatment and lifestyle nourishment plans.
Another example is that a physician can also take into consideration that meats from animals raised with antibiotic therapies, get ingested by humans, and then the antibiotics are circulated throughout a client's body, thus affecting one's immune system.
These are just a couple of examples that show that in order to sustain the human race and the environment of earth, all must understand health from the ground up.
