‘Expecting the Flu’ What Powerful Thoughts

“Several hundred adults and children in Yancey and Mitchell counties in North Carolina are suffering from what doctors believe to be the flu...... This is what we expect to see every year. It’s just a little earlier than usual,” said Dr. Martha Salyers, head of the state’s Public Health Regional Surveillance Team 6 in Western North Carolina. This is just an early year.”

(These are excerpts from a news article that represents how humans think and create their world.

Perhaps it is time to pay attention to what we think, we believe, we expect and see what happens?

How many times have you thought you were going to see someone or that they would call and they do?

How many times do you get up in the morning and think it is going to be a bad day and it is?

How many times have you wished for something and it shows up pretty soon?

More and more people are beginning to realize that it is they who are in control of how their life is.

Just last night on Larry King’s show, on CNN, he had a second panel discussion on Power of Positive Thoughts (Nov. 2 and Nov. 16).

After reading the news article on expecting the flu and real…izing that health providers and coaches are being given a chance to speak on National News about how powerful thoughts are…………..do you think that your thoughts might affect your health?

How many times have you gone to the grocery store, been in a classroom or office full of people coughing and/or sneezing? You have the thought ‘Ah, Ah I’m going to get their cold and/or flu.’ ………and then you do. By the way, skepticism is probably pretty normal if you haven’t thought about this before.

Maybe its time to gamble and just pay attention to your thoughts and see if there are any correlations in what you think and what plays out in your world.

There are many self help books available on how powerful our thoughts can be. As one example, Joe Vitale on Larry King’s show referred to his book The Attractor Factor as well as stating ‘One of my favorites is to become a loving detective of your own mental activity.’

Is it time for you to expect health instead of the flu?

Is it time for you to be Colombo, the detective of your own mental thoughts?
