My Mind Is Not Who I AM
I cloud and confuse my life by believing my thoughts. I forget that this is not who I AM. Thoughts are tools to help me find out who I am. Mind is made up of all the things we have learned from the outside world. The outside world is made up of what other people have experienced, thought, and believed. Mind is all memories from birth to death. Opinions and perceptions come from peers, parents, and teachers. If we don’t question them; they become who we think we are. Earlier in life I didn’t know what I truly thought and believed. I was a carbon copy of what I learned from others. I either reacted from a place of what the mind remembered from the past or from the fear and anxieties anticipated in the future.
When my mind is in control and I unconsciously think…this is not who I am. If so and so said it 30 years ago; my mind still remembers and tells me this is what is true. Unfortunately this is how I get stuck in the past. Fear thoughts and beliefs make me anticipate the future. There is no way I can know ‘who I AM.’ I become my own puppet of mind thoughts.
As I have dedicated my daily practice to clean up my mind…………….I find that those thoughts are definitely not who I AM. I AM peace, love, happiness, joy. I am learning to question all my thoughts in order to find out my truth in each moment. I find life is simple when I AM rather than filled with chaotic thoughts.
I allow and accept life as it is. I let life happen as much as I can. I don’t have to know, do, be, anything. I don’t ‘have to’ anything at all. I can let life happen. My mind cleverly tells me I’m in control and what is my truth. Much of the time, the result is chaos and pain.
Today I choose to live fresh as if each moment is brand new….without past memories and fear of future. ‘What is’ is absolutely perfect for me. ‘What Is’ is who I AM. It is my highest good. I don’t have to fret about it. As I practice this, I AM integrates with and transforms mind.
My authentic health and wellness comes from within..........who I AM...not from mind. 'Preventive Health' happens when I 'be' perfect health and not live in my stories.
